Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Crocodile (1984). Of artistic collaborations, Warhol and Basquiat’s is one of the most legendary that exist. During the ‘80s, the dynamic duo blended Warhol’s commercial, Pop Art sensibilities with Basquiat’s passionate Neo-expressionism, creating an unexpected dialogue that challenged their own practices and embodied the heart of New York’s artistic and cultural landscape.
